Our Heart for Greece
Greece is more than a place where Matt and Kaye minister—it’s a nation God has deeply woven into their hearts. Together they have spent decades proclaiming God's Word, encouraging pastors, strengthening churches, and sharing the hope of Jesus Christ throughout the country.
For Kaye, that calling began long before she was born.
In 1914, when her grandfather was just fourteen years old, his family sent him from their small village in central Greece to America with the hope of building a prosperous future. By God's blessing, he did. But when he returned to his homeland, he carried something far more valuable than money—a suitcase filled with Bibles. Together with his cousin, he helped establish Pentecostal churches across Greece, planting seeds of faith that would bear fruit for generations.
Decades later, Kaye began ministering throughout Greece. Since 1980, she has returned again and again to teach God's Word in churches across the nation—including several founded by her grandfather. Looking back, she sees God's hand preparing her to continue a legacy He began generations earlier.
For Matt, the call to Greece was confirmed miraculously.
During an evangelistic outreach in the early 1990s, Matt stood on a street corner in Athens preaching in English. As a group of teenagers in leather jackets began heckling, the Holy Spirit did something extraordinary. Matt pointed at the loudest heckler and told him—in English—that Jesus loved Him and encouraged the young man to receive Jesus.
Shocked, the young man heard—in Greek—“You must be born again!” The words pierced his heart, and he surrendered his life to Christ on the spot. He testified to the whole crowd that as he was born again, there was "an explosion of light" on the inside. Praise God! The Holy Spirit speaks every language.
Our Mission
Together, Matt and Kaye have ministered throughout Greece, lived there as missionaries, and continue to invest in the nation God has placed on their hearts.
As the homeland of the Greek language—the language of the New Testament—and a crossroads of the Apostle Paul's ministry, Greece possesses an extraordinary Christian heritage. We believe God’s greatest work in Greece is yet to come!
With deep love for the Greek people and unwavering confidence in God's promises, Matt and Kaye remain committed to proclaiming God's Word, strengthening believers, encouraging the Church, and declaring that Jesus is Lord over Greece.
